The meeting took place in Madrid

On the September 24th and 25th  2015, in Madrid (Spain), the consortium of project EcoPROLIVE gathered at the Institute of Food Science Research (Instituto de Investigación en Ciencias de la Alimentación, CIAL-CSIC) and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) to hold the first meeting of this just started project.

Adelma Di-Biasio, the Project Officer of EcoPROLIVE attended to this meeting from EU Commission where, she presented the Research Executive Agency (REA) in general and the Unit B2 in which she is working on. Also, she explained that REA had considered important the project because it has a Mediterranean consortium being an innovative project from an economic and environmental point of view. In addition, Adelma Di-Biasio commented different technical and administrative issues related to the project lifetime.

The general idea of the project was presented, as well as which are going to be the key factors of project EcoPROLIVE to achieve the goals. EcoPROLIVE partners had the opportunity to know each other and to introduce themselves: organisation description, expertise, and motivation for the participation in the project. On the other hand, the communication structure was explained and the webpage of project EcoPROLIVE was presented.

The partners could visit NOVALINDUS, a pilot plant where processes are developed for obtaining functional food products and ingredients.
